Claire Concannon, the host of the Radio New Zealand Our Changing World podcast, visited the site of Maggie MacKinnon’s green wall research to discuss with her the benefits of putting more vegetation on our buildings and into our cities. Maggie walks Claire through her experimental green wall setup, explaining how they were constructed, the plants that were used, and the data she’s collecting from them. They discuss how these green walls could benefit native bird and plant species in New Zealand and how other cities have implemented them on a massive scale.
